Gosh...I bought this LP in '84 at a Record Factory in Modesto, California, not quite knowing what to expect (since there's no track listing anywhere on the sleeve). Expected it to be studio material in the vein of the Pistols, but nope. It was only later that I heard the originals of these songs (Heartbreakers, Stooges, etc.)
Looking back on it, though, I can see past the posthumous cash-in factor and appreciate it as a fun, painful listen. And it boasts some of the least-flattering cover photography ever! Huzzah!
this is pure punk rock. sloppy, raw, but chock full of snotty attitude and devil-may-care swagger. i'll never forget when my buddy charles bought this LP, how excited we were as he tore off the plastic and pulled the vinyl out. we were intoxicated.
