Sacrilege "Turn Back Trilobite"

Birmingham's female fronted Sacrilege made 2 LP's, one mini LP and appeared on a slew of 80's punk/hardcore/metal compilations as well as various demos. For those of you who have not heard this band, track down "Behind The Realms of Madness" for a crust punk fist fucking of metallic proportions. With Tam leading the band on vocals, they already had a lot more than most crusties bargained for.

Formally known as "Warwound" in '83, soon thereafter formed Sacrilege with Damian from the Varukers in 1984. In '85 they recorded their first demos and were featured on the classic "Anglican Scrape Attic" flexi 7" in 1985.

In '85 they released "Behind The Realms Of Madness".
In '86 they released "Within the Prophecy" (Their first LP.)
In 1989, they released this LP (their 2nd) entitled "Turn Back Trilobite" which saw the band gathering distance from their thrash core origins into a more doom and gloom perspective and sound. In 1990 the band split.

A concept record in a sort, this album was recorded a little too clean in my opinion and could've used some dirtying up, with that said it still takes incredible Sabbathy riffing with Tam's distinct narrative weaving in and out the darkness. Notwithstanding the turn in sound, this is still highly recommended in that it doesn't resemble another record in my collection. Yet another ripped at 320.

Horned Almighty "Black Metal Jesus"

Originally formed in 2002, Denmark's Horned Almighty make solid, ruthless and strong armed black metal records. With nice atmosphere and untimely cold sound, they are a group of 4 ugly skin head, metal creeps straight outta hell. Having released 3 albums and a live record, they have their new LP coming out soon. Here's their first LP on Infernus Rex Records. "Black Metal Jesus" will surely appease all those who want a little metal up their ass.

The Softies "Nice And Nasty"

Catchy pop/rock sold under the punk moniker, if you ignore the mustaches. Also recorded "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" with Captain Sensible while he was living in Amsterdam. Dutch band with 2 prior singles, this LP was released on Charlie Records in 1978.

With great tracks like "Somethings Gonna Change", "Mister Tonight" and "Whiskey Man" (which to me musically resembles "Disco Man" by The Damned) makes this LP worth the drop regardless.
